By installing, accessing, or using LeakSnitch (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
LeakSnitch is a browser extension that detects and blocks sensitive data (API keys, passwords, PII, and other secrets) from being sent to AI platforms. The extension operates locally in your browser. A web dashboard provides analytics and configuration.
3. User Accounts
To access the dashboard, you must register for an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Providing accurate and complete registration information.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service beyond what is already publicly available.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Attempt to bypass or circumvent the Service’s detection mechanisms.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its detection engine, dashboard, and associated technology, is owned by LeakSnitch and protected by intellectual property laws. Detection patterns are published openly as part of our Radical Transparency commitment, but this does not grant a license to use them in competing products.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party AI platforms and SIEM tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of these third-party services.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will detect all sensitive data, prevent all data leaks, or be error-free.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeakSnitch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. In no event shall our liability exceed the amount paid by you for the Service.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the dashboard. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
